FAQ

The Aruba Marriott Management Team has selected some of the most frequently asked questions on our renovations in an effort to provide you with answers to questions you might have. Furthermore, in other parts of this website you will find the most recent information as well as pictures and renderings of the new property after renovations are completed.

When will the renovation be completed?
The renovation activities are scheduled to be completed by November 2008.

All guest rooms are now fully renovated. We also opened two new restaurants, Ruth's Chris Steak House and La Vista, a magnificent beachfront restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The all-new Tradewinds Club, for a exclusive boutique experience within the comfort of a fully equiped Resort, opened on the 8th floor of the hotel on September 1, 2008.

Currently we are finalizing the remodelling of a new jewelry store in our Lobby, set to open October 30th, 2008. Starting on October 23rd we'll be putting in new tiles at the Lobby level in the South wing of the hotel. Therefore the South Tower hallway will be closed for two weeks. Guests with accommodations in the South Tower are kindly requested to use the North Tower elevators to access their floor over these days.

Will your renovation be very obvious?
No, our renovations have at this point reached a level of 'beautification' and have no longer a 'construction' character.

Where will the construction work take place during my stay?
In the South Tower at Lobby level final touches are being made to a new jewelry store, Gandelman, that is set to open October 30th, 2008. The South Tower area will also receive new tiles and will therefore be closed for two weeks, starting October 23rd.

 Are you closing the restaurant?
All restaurants are now open. The latest addition to our Resort is La Vista that re-opened October 20, 2008. This beachfront restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, offers a cozy bar and Lounge.

Will there be construction workers around the property?
During your stay you might encounter some carpenters in the South Tower of our Resort, who are upgrading the Lobby facilities and jewelry store.

Will the casino be affected?
The Stellaris Casino, Aruba's largest casino, will not be affected by the renovations. Stellaris Casino is open 24 hours. Table games are available daily from 10 AM - 4 AM. While the Resort is completely non-smoking, at the Stellaris Casino you are allowed to smoke.
